The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office has announced several promotions, including two top-level changes.

Capt. Bill Franco has been appointed uniform patrol commander, which includes all uniform patrol shifts, the traffic and reserve units, and animal control. He joined the office in 1998 as a deputy sheriff/sergeant in the reserves and became a full-time officer in 2000.

Lt. Donnie Daves becomes assistant commander of the operations division, overseeing the school resource and community relations areas, ordinance and permits and the office’s P.A.C.E. Unit. He joined the department in January of 2000 as a deputy sheriff.
