Creating a road map for Forsyth County’s future will be on the minds of the Board of Commissioners Dec. 1.
The commission will hold a public hearing on the draft Forsyth County Comprehensive Plan 2017-2037, after which they’ll consider whether to hand it over to regional and state officials for review.
The planning process began in early 2016, and is called Foster Forsyth. It’s focused on transportation, housing, zoning and other land issues, plus economic development. It’s designed as a guide to future growth and development, which plays into planning and zoning issues. Foster Forsyth also sets goals and priorities.
After a presentation from the planning team, members of the public can have their say during the public hearing set for 5 p.m. Dec. 1 at the Forsyth County Administration Building, 110 E. Main St., Cumming.
Final adoption is tentatively set for March 2.
