A mid-summer completion is anticipated for new playground equipment being installed at Poole's Mill Park in northwest Forsyth County, according to a Forsyth Parks & Recreation announcement.

“Poole’s Mill Park has much to offer families, with beautiful natural resources and an historic covered bridge,” said Parks Director Jim Pryor. “Now, with an updated playground, there is another element that we hope families can enjoy for many years to come.”

The replacement playground at the park, 7725 Poole’s Mill Road, is designed for children ages 5 to 12. It has slides, swings (one handicapped accessible), an IKO ball climber and a synthetic turf surface, the county said.

The $210,000 project was designed and is being installed by Great Southern Recreation, Chattanooga. It is funded out of the Parks and Recreation 2020 Capital Replacement Plan Budget. Construction began June 8, and the playground is closed for the duration of the work. Information: https://bit.ly/30nk2LL
