Forsyth County property owners can view their 2020 property assessment, review comparable properties and file an appeal of their property value – the basis for calculating tax bills – through an online service announced by county officials.

“We are excited to introduce this new way to review property assessments online,” said Mary Kirkpatrick, director of the Forsyth Board of Assessors and chief appraiser. “If a resident needs to file an appeal for their property value, they can now do so from the comfort of their home without having to enter the Board of Assessors office.”

By visiting the Board of Assessors page on the county's website, visitors can find their properties by owner's name, parcel number or address. The listing contains a property summary, owner information, assessed value, maps and a link to submit an appeal.

This year's real property assessment notices were mailed May 21. Owners have until July 6 to file an appeal of their property values. Information: https://bit.ly/3dEkmJO
