A pair of presentations in Fayetteville on March 5 and 6 will explore the costs and benefits of local development choices.

Joe Minicozzi of Asheville, North Carolina-based Urban3 will offer the same presentation at 6 p.m. on March 5 at the Fayetteville City Council meeting at City Hall and again at 8 a.m. on March 6 at the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce office, 600 W. Lanier Avenue. His talks, titled “Economics of Land Use: $ and Sense of City Building,” will discuss the impact of development on local budgets, the relative return on investment from different types of development in Fayetteville and Fayette County, and other issues related to economic productivity and long-term sustainability.

Both events are free and open to the public.
