Fayette County public schools are rolling out a network of online tools designed to keep teachers, students and parents more connected.

At Monday’s Board of Education meeting, instructional technology coordinator Kate Crawford said that equipment and software has been installed at Sara Harp Minter Elementary, Rising Starr Middle and Fayette County High School as test sites. Training and evaluations will take place August through October.

The BOE will decide in November whether to install the systems at more schools by the end of the year.

The Connected Classroom elements consist of Safari Montage, Blackboard Learn, Infinite Campus, Google Apps for Education and other digital tools and content.
