Fayette County will use two previously scheduled early-release days to help make up time students lost because of weather-related closures. The school system announced that Jan. 31 and March 14 will now be full instructional days, rather than partial days set aside for teachers’ professional learning time.

The school district is also adjusting its Milestones testing schedule, as outlined in a memo sent to parents on Jan. 26. Students have missed seven days of school so far, but a state waiver does not require all missed days to be made up. Digital learning options are being developed if severe weather forces more closures.
