The Fayette County Board of Commissioners voted recently to accept a final list of 20 transportation projects that will be tied to the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax referendum next March.

Public Works Director Phil Mallon, who also serves on the county’s transportation committee, presented the board with an itemized list whose total cost would be approximately $19.5 million. The unincorporated portion of the county expects to receive about $64.6 million in revenue if the referendum passes. The proposed transportation projects include intersection and infrastructure improvements, multi-use path construction and scoping studies.
