The Duluth City Council has authorized three contracts as a result of new federal funding requirements imposed on the George Rogers Avenue/Hospital Connector project. The city approved $16,500 to complete surveying and an MS4 stormwater study, $27,714 to complete an environmental re-evaluation, and $35,000 to include the design of water and sewer along the project for future development adjacent to the new roadway.
The water and sewer design will include future sanitary tie ins along State Route 120. This portion of the project will not be built as part of the Hospital Connector, but as part of the future city/county SPLOST project that includes new sidewalks along the western portion of State Route 120.
