Atlanta police have located an 8-year-old girl missing since early Sunday afternoon.

Amanda Davis was last seen at her apartment at 50 Mount Zion Road around 12:30 p.m. According to police, the little girl was nowhere to be found when her mother awoke from a two-hour-plus nap at 3 p.m. After searching the area around the apartment complex Amanda's mother found a note in her daughter's bedroom stating she had run away from home,  police said.

A police spokeswoman announced just before 9 p.m. that they were in the process of reuniting Amanda with her family.
