The city of East Point will break ground on a new City Hall on Aug. 11. CONTRIBUTED

East Point city officials are set to break ground for a $15.8 million City Hall project 10 a.m. Aug. 11 at East Point City Hall, 2777 East Point St. The new City Hall is expected to spur economic growth in the area. Located on the corner of West Cleveland Avenue at East Point Street in the heart of downtown East Point.

This 32,130 square foot facility will include city offices, a multipurpose City Council Chamber and an additional 2,424 square feet of shell space for future growth expansion. It will be a sustainable development, and serve as an energy efficient model for future construction projects in the city of East Point.
