The East Point City Council recently approved the project list for the Transportation Special Purpose Option Local Sales Taxt. The list is comprised of streets to repair and repave using TSPLOST funds.

Citizens will vote on the TSPLOST measure in November.

The Council also received a presentation of the city’s new website and the launch of the Access East Point application that allows reporting on non-emergency issues from smart phones.

In addition to adopting the Fiscal Year 2017 budget which starts on July 1, the Council also appointed Wesley Bailey to the city’s Blighted Property task force, Tahaa Hagos to the Cultural Enrichment Committee and Kristen Prince-Jackson to the Utility Board.
