The Tilly Mill Road improvement project is ongoing.

Work crews are expected this week to resume erosion control measures, as well as geotechnical testing for the design of walls for an improved stormwater detention pond located behind the Summer’s Landing facility on North Peachtree Road.

Individual utility companies will conduct utility relocation planning over the next several weeks.

The tree removal required for roadway construction is complete and general preparation activities are expected to resume next month. The city has a “no net loss of trees” policy and will replace trees which were removed from the right of way during the project construction phase.

Drivers can expect temporary delays and the potential for periodic closure of one lane as flag crews help direct traffic around ongoing work. All potential periodic lane closures on weekdays will be permitted to occur only between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Traffic flows in the area will be monitored to address any potential delays during this time period.
