Dunwoody invites residents and community members to help frame priorities at two Needs and Opportunities Workshops 6 - 8 p.m. April 23 at Dunwoody Nature Center, 5343 Roberts Drive and 2 - 4 p.m. April 25 at Dunwoody Baptist Church, 1445 Mt. Vernon Road. The workshops are the next round of public meetings and discussions for Shape Dunwoody, the five-year update of the city’s Comprehensive Plan.

Goals are:

— To provide opportunities for feedback on draft plan content developed in response to public input to date, specifically the overall vision statement and overarching goals for the city’s land use and development.

— Ask community members to help identify priority activities and initiatives that are important to the city’s future.

— Include small group discussions of the city’s unique areas and how the character of those areas should change or stay the same.

Modifications to the plan will be made via public input as well as technical analysis completed by the planning team. The April workshops are the third and fourth meetings in a series of six that will be held through June to gather input for the plan update. Subsequent workshops will focus on the five-year work program and review of the draft plan update. Community members are also invited to join the Shape Dunwoody discussion online at www.connectdunwoody.com.
