Duluth is set to begin its 5th collaboration with the Citizen’s Budget Review Advisory Committee on Feb. 23 for the fiscal year 2017 budget. City officials believe communication with and guidance from a diverse group of citizens is instrumental in the budget process.

The first meeting of the advisory committee establishes an overview of the city’s budget process and what the budget committee’s role will be in the process. The second meeting on March 15 involves review of draft figures for the preliminary operating budget and provides time for questions and clarification. The third meeting, March 29, is geared toward recommendations from the citizen’s committee.
