At the city’s next city council meeting Aug. 13, the Duluth City Council will vote on an amendment to the Duluth Code of Ordinances regarding Sales and Solicitation. The minor changes include replacing application, permitting and fee handling rwith the City Clerk instead of the Chief of Police.

The city will also vote on a recommendation to set definitive times limiting sales and solicitation activity to no later than 8 p.m. and not before 10 a.m. rather than using “sunset” as the existing ordinance states.

The Duluth City Council meets at 7 p.m. Aug. 13 at City Hall, 3167 Main St.
