If Draco, the prized police K-9 dog sued for biting a suspect, lost his case, what would he pay in damages?

Would the court garnish his dog treats and biscuits? Would he have to relinquish his favorite bone?

The notion of a dog having to pay damages in an excessive-use-of-force case was one of the reasons the federal appeals court in Atlanta recently determined a dog can’t be sued “since a dog is not a person.”
