The Doraville City Council decided to remove public comments from future council work sessions, in order to streamline the sessions that take place before the actual council meeting. The public can still make comments and submit comment cards during the regular meeting.

At its regular meeting March 7, the council also approved both a conditional use permit and zoning variance request for a new church located at 6113 Buford Highway. The church would be located on the second floor of the building, above a retail outlet, Jenny’s Place. The variance would reduce the required number of parking spaces in the lot by two.

The council also voted to appoint Debbie Brown to DeKalb County Library Board of Trustees and to pass the new Doraville Community Improvement District Act.
