Nearly a dozen people were displaced by a Wednesday morning fire that heavily damaged a northwest Atlanta home that authorities said was being used as a boarding house.

No injuries were reported in the late-morning fire at the home on Jones Avenue, Atlanta fire spokesman Cortez Stafford told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Eleven people were living in the house, but all had gotten out safely by the time firefighters had arrived, Cortez said.

The cause of the fire has not been determined, he said.

The American Red Cross was assisting those displaced by the blaze.
