DeKalb County Sanitation Services has revised the implementation process for the city of Doraville’s residential recycling program, according to a press release. Participation in the program is mandatory for city residents. Here’s what you need to know:

  • Each household will receive a county-provided, 65-gallon recycling roll cart by Friday, May 8. The larger, 65-gallon cart is the only one available to Doraville residents.
  • Residents can keep using the Advanced Disposal recycling containers until they have received the new county recycling cart.
  • Upon receiving the county cart, residents should begin using it immediately.
  • City crews will collect the empty Advanced containers after the county carts have been delivered. This way, no household will be without a recycling container at any given time.
  • Residents are asked to read the welcome packet attached to the new cart.

Questions, call the county at (404) 294-2900.
