Recorders Court Judge La Tisha Dear has been appointed to the Judicial Council of Georgia’s Access, Fairness, and Public Trust and Confidence Committee. Dear currently serves as the sole judicial representative from DeKalb County.
Co-chaired by Supreme Court of Georgia Justice Robert Benham and Justice Carol W. Hunstein, the Access, Fairness, and Public Trust and Confidence Committee includes judges and attorneys who have displayed dedication to the enhancement of access across gender, socioeconomic and racial lines, as well as fairness in the courts. The goal of the Access, Fairness, and Public Trust and Confidence Committee is to improve the public’s trust by focusing on access and fairness through the elimination of systemic barriers related to gender, race, ethnicity, disability and language.
