Decatur commission approves residential development

Decatur’s commission recently approved a small residential development at 417 East College Avenue, a 9300-square foot project on narrow property between Agnes Scott College warehouses and Plants Creative Landscapes.

According to Brian Dralle with J.D. Signature Homes in Roswell, the project includes six condos or two two-bedroom (1100 square feet) and four three-bedroom units (1450 square feet). Total acreage is 4/10ths of an acre with a two-story building 150 feet deep and 22 feet wide, not counting a 20-foot wide driveway. Each unit will include a garage.

Dralle said he hopes to break ground in July or August, with the condos available in May or June 2020 at the earliest.

He anticipates price points in the low to mid-$400,000 for the two bedrooms, and high $400,000 to low $500,000 for the three-bedrooms.
