The Creekview High School Aeronautics Team will compete in the finals of the world’s largest rocket contest to be held May13 in Plains, Va., near Washington D.C.

Creekview is among the 100 best teams across the nation, earning a spot in the Team America Rocketry Challenge finals.

The challenge is to design and build a rocket that will climb at least 750 feet and stay aloft 40 seconds and carry an egg without breaking it.  Prizes include $60,000 in scholarships. This is the second year in a row that Creekview has gone to the nationals.
