The Lawrenceville City Council recently approved $68,125 to replace the failing culvert under Cottonpatch Road. The project in St. Lawrence Plantation, south of Park Place Drive, will demolish and replace the existing storm pipe under the street between 200 and 201 Cottonpatch Road, near Ashwood Circle. The bottom of the pipe is completely rusted out.
The existing system includes 170 linear feet of pipe, two headwalls, one junction box and two curb inlets. This will be an open trench replacement that also includes patching and overlay of the street and reconstruction of the curb inlets along with some curb and gutter. The Dickerson Group Inc., the lowest of five bidding for the project, will do the work.
