A community group trying to keep a Wal-Mart from being built near Decatur will host a concert later this month to benefit their cause.

Several bands will be at the event, along with poets and a silent auction. The concert runs from 7 p.m. to midnight Sept. 29 at the Beacon Hill Arts Center, 410 W. Trinity Place, Decatur.

Tickets are $22 in advance and $25 at the door. Proceeds will help Good Growth DeKalb cover legal expenses in trying to keep the store from being built in Suburban Plaza, north of Decatur.
