The College Park City Council will hold a public hearing 6 p.m. Monday at College Park City Hall Council Chambers, 3667 Main St. The hearing is the last for residents to comment on the proposed millage rate for Fiscal Year 2016-2017. The millage rate has been held at 12.619 mills since 2012. If the rate is maintained, the net taxes levied for 2016-17 would be $241,000 less than the previous year, based on the Net Tax Digest calculations.
The hearing is also for a rezoning request for the property at 5111 and 5135 West Fayetteville Road. If approved the rezoning will allow for construction of College Park Fire Station No. 3.
The council will also consider a conditional use permit for the Metro Atlanta Urban Farm, 3271 Main St., for operation of a farm winery.
