The Fulton County Board of County Commissioners unanimously approved a grant for the city of College Park to receive $125,000 in financial aid to use for the exploration of groundwater, for present and future economic development and resource enhancement.
Any state in the U.S which can rely on a substantial supply of groundwater to supplement local government’s filtering and distribution of water to citizens can claim an economic advantage.
College Park city administration secured necessary permits from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources to proceed with groundwater exploration in College Park. These permits apply to transactions both commercially and public works’ related.
College Park officials plan on continued groundwater exploration in the coming weeks.
