College Park Power plans to increase illumination on Main Street between Princeton Avenue and John Wesley Avenue. Increasing the lighting with nine pole mount lights, 10 post mount decorative lights and 12 bollard lights.

One additional pole mount light will be installed at the intersection of Harvard Avenue and Main Street.

Improvements made in July between Rugby Avenue and Yale Avenue increased lighting levels by 75 percent. College Park Power expects the next level of improvements to double the lighting illumination.

This project came about in response to desires recently conveyed to the College Park City Council.

Completion of the project is set for the end of December.
