Last month the College Park city council unanimously approved the setting of qualifying fees for mayoral and council candidates for the general election in November. Although the hearing was open to the public for comment, no one objected to the fees. For anyone running for mayor, the qualifying fee required is $868.58, and for either the Ward 1 or 3 seats, $760.50. The election will take place on Nov. 3.
