The Cobb County Board of Commissioners has approved a $557,030 contract to improve sidewalk safety throughout the county by next spring.
Glosson Enterprises will make sidewalks and pedestrian ramps compliant with American Disabilities Act standards.
These changes will affect sections of 120 roads and include the installation of 249 ADA ramps.
Funding will come from the 2011 special purpose local option sales tax.
