A $22.6 million replacement gym and theater for North Cobb High School will be considered by the Cobb County Board of Education at 7 p.m. Oct. 27.
Evergreen Construction of Atlanta is being proposed as the lowest bidder of seven proposals. The original planning estimate was $19,576,139 but now is $22,621,000.
The difference of $3,044,861 is because there has been four percent inflation for construction prices, Deputy Superintendent John Adams told the board members Wednesday during their work session. January 2018 is the anticipated completion date. Funding will come from the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax IV.
