Due to a schedule conflict with the Law Enforcement Memorial Vigil, the previously scheduled Cobb Police Precinct 1 PENS meeting will be moved from May 10 to June 7.

The vigil will begin at 7 p.m. May 10 in Glover Park, Marietta Square, 50 N. Park Square, Marietta to honor Peace Officers who have fallen in the line of duty.

This event is open to anyone who wishes to remember those officers who have given the ultimate sacrifice.

Then the community meeting will be 7 p.m. June 7 at Precinct 1, 2380 Cobb Parkway, Kennesaw.

Cobb bomb technician, Sgt. J. T. Mobley, will discuss suspicious packages and Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs).

No registration is required.

Cobb County residents are invited to sign up for ongoing email notices through Cobb’s Police Email Notification System (PENS) to find out about community meetings at the five police precincts and safety advice.

Information: 770-499-4181, 770-499-3967, CobbCounty.org/PENS.
