Cobb Police Athletic League will host three free events this month for young people.

Open to children, ages 4 to 9, the fourth annual baseball camp will be 6-8:30 p.m. Aug. 21.

Then for children, ages 10 to 15, another baseball camp will be 6-8:30 p.m. Aug. 22.

Both camps will be held at Clarkdale Park, Southwest Baseball Complex, 4905 Austell Powder Springs Road, Austell.

Free stepping lessons will be offered to middle and high schoolers by PAL at 6:30 p.m. every Tuesday, starting Aug. 21, at Fair Oaks Recreation Center, 1465 W. Booth Road Extension SW, Marietta.

Stepping is a synchronized dancelike performance that blends African folk traditions with popular culture, involving clapping, body slapping, vocalizations and dramatic movements.

Tweens and teens in grades 6 to 12 are invited to learn how to step with the Cobb Police Athletic League, the Cool Kids Committee and Phi Beta Sigma, Inc.
