Cobb hiring lifeguards, holding training classes

Cobb County PARKS’ staff is hiring qualified lifeguards for Seven Springs Water Park and Sewell Park Pool.

Those who have lifeguard training certification and can work this summer from May to September are encouraged to apply.

To apply for the Seven Springs Water Park, 3820 Macedonia Road, Powder Springs, call the West Cobb Aquatic Center at 770-222-6700.

Contact the Central Aquatic Center at 770-528-8465 to apply for the Sewell Park Pool, 2085 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta.

However, for those who do not have lifeguard training certification but are interested in becoming lifeguards, the aquatic centers are offering training classes this month.

This course is designed to train participants to be effective professional lifeguards.

After successful completion, participants will be certified for two years in lifeguarding, first aid and CPR/AED for the professional rescuer (C-PRO).

Classes will begin April 8 at the Mountain View Aquatic Center, West Cobb Aquatic Center and Central Aquatic Center.
