The Town Center Community Improvement District (TCCID) will spend an additional $242,359 for the Town Center/Noonday Creek Trail/Kennesaw State University Bicycle/Pedestrian Connector.

The approval was granted recently by the Cobb County Board of Commissioners.

This connector is an approved project in the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) Plan 2040 Regional Transportation Plan, according to Cobb Transportation Agency Director Erica Parish.

Originally in February 2014, the TCCID spent $50,000 for the local share with the federal/state government providing $200,000 – all for preliminary engineering for the connector.

Now the TCCID will be responsible for funding all costs associated with the acquisition of required rights-of-way and easements, including the cost of acquisition services provided by the Cobb County Department of Transportation, that will not exceed $242,359.
