If you see some people in very real-looking cop costumes outside the Acworth police department today, those are real officers — and they’re giving away real candy.

Acworth police are holding their “Cop-a-Treat” event at the department, 4440 Acworth Industrial Drive NW.

Not only will they be giving away candy, there will also be a petting zoo, a DJ and carnival games. That's according to a Facebook post from the department.

The event runs from from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m, if you wanted a last-minute Halloween festivity.

If you're looking for something that runs a bit later, there's the county's 18th Fall Festival of Fun at Jim Miller Park.
