The Clayton County Water Authority recently released its 2018 Water Quality Report that shows its drinking water met or exceeded all federal and state government standards from January 1, 2017 – December 31, 2017.
Annual water quality reports, also referred to as a Consumer Confidence Report, give a detailed analysis of the water the residents of Clayton County consume every day. CCWA’s Water Quality staff performs more than 200,000 water tests each year to test for potential contaminants. A summary of the tests are found in this report.
All three CCWA facilities received 2018 Platinum Awards during the Georgia Association of Water Authority’s Spring Conference in April for this achievement. The Terry R. Hicks Water Production Plant has been a Platinum facility for 17 years; the J.W. Smith WPP has been a Platinum facility for nine years and the William J. Hooper WPP celebrates its 20th year Platinum. The Hooper Plant is one of two water production facilities in the State of Georgia with the longest running tenure of receiving the Platinum Award.
