City moves ahead with Marietta Square bathrooms

The Marietta City Council voted Monday to accept a $115,000 grant from the Marietta Downtown Development Authority to help build two restrooms beneath the stage of Glover Park on the Marietta Square.

The city will pay the remaining $167,000 of the total bid price of $334,000.

City officials also will negotiate with the county on building eight restrooms near the county parking deck, said City Manager Bill Bruton.
