China Inn opened its doors again on Friday, employee Kevin Liu told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Update (March 8, 2018):
A Mableton restaurant that serves Chinese food closed its doors Thursday after its second failed health inspection, according to Cobb County health department records.
China Inn, at 1025 Veterans Memorial Highway, was issued a notice of violation along with a cease and desist order, the health department reported. After earning a score of 55, a manager locked the front door and turned customers away.
“Facility not approved for cooking or preparation of foods until clearance for re-opening is received from health department,” the inspection report said.
The inspector wrote that the restaurant failed again because of improperly thawing shrimp, employees handling food without washing their hands first and the back door to the kitchen was left open.
A manager wasn’t immediately available for comment Thursday. An employee who answered the phone but declined to give his name told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the restaurant was closed.
The employee said he didn’t know when it would reopen.
