The Cherokee County School District’s request period for student transfers and re-assignments for the 2015-2016 school year opens Feb 1. Seventeen schools are open for such changes, during the window that remains open until March 1.
District officials said classifications for consideration of such requests include transfers for curricular programs, open transfer for special needs and non-special needs students, and hardship re-assignments. Requests for re-assignment to a STEM or fine arts academy will be handled starting March 16.
