All of Cherokee County’s high schools have been named Advanced Placement STEM Schools and AP STEM Achievement Schools for a third consecutive year.

The designation awarded by the Georgia Department of Education recognizes schools which test students in at least two AP math courses and two science courses. The achievement designation recognizes that at least 40% of the test-takers earn a score of 3 or higher on a scale of 1 to 5.

Four high schools also earned a new state designation of AP Humanities School, meaning they offer a minimum menu of AP English, social sciences, fine arts and language courses.
