The Cherokee County School District announced two information sessions in November for students and parents interested in dual enrollment – where students in grades 9-12 can earn high school and college credit simultaneously.

Both sessions are set for 6 to 7 p.m. They will be held Thursday, Nov. 7, in the Etowah High School auditorium, 6565 Putnam Ford Road, Woodstock; and Monday, Nov. 11, in the Sequoyah High School auditorium, 4485 Hickory Road, Canton.

With dual enrollment, students do not pay for tuition, fees or books; they are only responsible for course-related fees and transportation, officials said. Those planning to participate in the 2020-21 school year should be prepared for application deadlines in the early spring, as college admission deadlines vary.
