Cherokee County's 2012 ACT scores were the highest in county history.

Graduating seniors in Cherokee County Schools had an average score of 22.7 out of a possible 36, well above the state average of 20.7.

"This continued, outstanding progress by our students is further evidence of our students' college and career readiness and the dedication of our teachers, administrators and parents to ensure that every student masters the vital knowledge needed in order to excel in their further education and careers," Cherokee County Schools Superintendent Frank Petruzielo said.
