The city of Chamblee voted to lower the city’s millage rate from 6.40 mills to 6.25 mills for the General Fund, which will decrease property taxes by 6.42 percent over the rollback millage rate, according to a press release.

The public hearing on this tax decrease was held at the Chamblee Civic Center on July 2, 2018. There was one hearing at 6 p.m. At the public hearing, the millage rate was formally adopted. The new millage rate of 6.25 mills results in a decrease of .15 mills.
