The State of Georgia received a disaster declaration because of September’s Hurricane Irma. As a result, the city of Chamblee is eligible to receive federal and state funding and assistance based on local damage. If any residents have flooding damage due to water entering your home or business within the Chamblee city limits because of Hurricane Irma, please let city officials know. There may be funds available to purchase the property to eliminate the risk of future floods.

Contact Kim Shorter at kim@sustainablewaterplanning.org by Dec. 31. Include your name, contact information, address of the flood damage site and extent of the damage. Any information regarding repair costs or estimates will be appreciated as well.

The submission of information does not guarantee the city of Chamblee’s ability to fund or support a grant application.
