A Cedartown teenager was killed in a weekend all-terrain vehicle accident.

Jacob Rice, 14, was riding through a field off Cut Log Road Saturday afternoon when he was killed, according to Polk County Coroner Trey Litesey.

“The front end hit a washed out area and he was thrown off the ATV and it rolled over on top of him,” Litesey told the AJC.

Rice, who was wearing a helmet, suffered chest injuries, Litesey said. The teen was taken to Polk Medical Center, where he died.
