Three people were injured in a head-on collision that caused a police car to overturn Thursday.

L.C. Taylor, a Carroll County deputy, and passenger Pamela J. Endicott were hit near Ga. 16 and West Miles Road by an oncoming vehicle, the Georgia State Patrol said. The deputy was traveling with a prisoner transport to the jail when a Ford Focus driving in the other direction blew a tire, causing the driver to lose control. The police vehicle then overturned.

Taylor, Endicott, and Kristen Cherone Leonard, the driver of the Fusion, were transported to the Tanner-Carrollton Medical Center.

Information on their conditions was not available.
