Construction will begin within the next few weeks on Camp Creek Greenway between Velva Court and Rockbridge Road in Lilburn. The city will notify the public of temporary closure dates via digital signs at the Greenway, on Lilburn’s website: www.cityoflilburn.com, and on social media.

The Lilburn City Council recently awarded a contractor bid for up to $719,000. Gwinnett will contribute more than $500,000 to the project. This SPLOST-funded project replaces the deteriorating 988-foot wooden boardwalk with a long-lasting, low-maintenance, pre-cast concrete called PermaTrak.

The City Council also approved $395,658 for the purchase of PermaTrak components. According to city officials, this will be the largest installation of PermaTrak in the southeast. The city installed another PermaTrak bridge on the Greenway in September 2015.
