The Fayette County Board of Commissioners will hold a special called meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at its chambers at 140 Stonewall Ave. in Fayetteville to consider a resolution related to transportation funding. The resolution regarding House Bill 170 was tabled at last week’s meeting after a procedural conflict between Chairman Charles Oddo and Commissioner Steve Brown, who drafted the statement asking the Georgia legislature to focus funding on roads and bridges and eliminate rail transit plans, among other provisions.

The commission is expected to vote on the resolution and submit it before the legislature acts on a final version of the bill.
