The Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education is holding a forum Tuesday at the Georgia-Pacific Auditorium to discuss the need to remain focused on accountability in education despite the state's waiver from "No Child Left Behind" federal rules.
State Farm CEO Ed Rust, co-chair for the national Business Coalition for Student Achievement, will lead a discussion on why the state's education policy should remain results-oriented. Rust will be joined by state school superintendent John Barge, Steve Smith, deputy superintendent of Atlanta Public Schools, and business leaders.
